X-rays can play an important role in diagnosis and are recommended when a need has been determined after taking a patient case history and conducting a physical examination. Chiropractors receive extensive education in radiology covering a full range of topics from X-ray protection to interpretation and diagnosis.
We are able to order/request plain film radiographs directly from diagnostic imaging departments in most Nova Scotia hospitals. If recommended, X-ray requisition forms will be provided to you for images to be taken at a Nova Scotia hospital of your choosing.
